      What is a Moissanite?

Henri Moissan originally discovered moissanite in a meteor crater. Moissanite was found to be made of silicon carbide, making natural moissanite extremely are. Moissanite gemstones are now laboratory made. With modern day technology, the color and cut of moissanite stones are exquisite.

Moissanite and diamond are commonly compared. Moissanite make a great alternative to diamond as it scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale. They have a higher refractive index than diamond, making their sparkle remarkable.

Moissanite weighs about 10% less than a diamond of the same diameter, therefore, moissanite of the same carat weight of a diamond is larger. Listed moissanite stones are identified with diamond weight equivalent carat weight (dew).

What is 14K palladium white gold?

      • Gold is naturally yellow. In order for gold to have a white appearance, it is infused with a metal that is naturally white. Typically, white gold is made with nickel.
      • Palladium is a white metal that is in the same group as platinum and rhodium. This shiny metal is mostly extracted as a byproduct of mining other metals such as platinum and nickel. It is more rare than gold, which is reflected in the price. On the market, it is one of the most valuable metals.
      • Palladium white gold is made with 15% palladium and is nickel-free. It is great for avoiding the concerns regarding nickel sensitivity.
      • Gray with a warm undertone. Can be rhodium plated to achieve a bright white color with no warm undertone.
